SHAKEN BABY SYDROME STATISTICS
Some studies estimage that 15% of children's deaths are due to battering or shaking, and an additional 15% are possible causes of shaking.
One shaken baby in four dies.
Of the thousands that survive death, serious injuries usually occurs.
"SBS" victims range in age from a few days to a few months old, the average is six months old.
More than 60% of the victims of Shaken Baby Syndrome are male.
Almost 80% of the perpetrators of Shaken Baby Syndrome are male.

The average age of a Shaken Baby Syndrome victim is 3-8 months of age. Males are most often the victims.
The most common perpetrators are males 24-27 years old.
